The Chicago White Sox commissioned Sam Kirk to design a shirt that will be distributed to White Sox fans for Hispanic Heritage Month.

The first 10,000 fans attending the game on September 12th will receive a free shirt.

The shirt design is a celebration of the many Latino cultures that you can experience throughout Chicago neighborhoods.

adidas "adicolor" campaign, 2018

Commissioned by Graffiti USA to create a visual representation of Chicago, authentic to the city's history and culture for the adidas 2018 adicolor campaign. The design was used to wrap a 12' x 17' wall, which patrons of Finish Line stores would color in over a 4 week, in-store program.  

"BELIEVE CHICAGO" AT&T, 2018/2019

2018 Collaboration with AT&T Chicago for an event at their flagship store which highlighted 4 non-profits doing great work in Chicago to help youth learn new skills and pursue their dreams. Partnership with Showtime and "The Chi".

Xfinity / Comcast, 2017/2019

2017 Chicago Bag Partnership with Xfinity, Comcast to design a eco-friendly bag. Xfinity distributed these bags at summer festivals throughout the city shortly after Chicago announced it's city-wide bag tax. 

2019 LPCS Bag To celebrate the new mural that Xfinity sponsored on behalf of Lincoln Park Community Services, the brand is distributing another round of tote bags to the city of Chicago. This bag features the artwork included in the mural along with a little about LPCS Chicago.

Major League Soccer, 2017

Collaboration with Major League Soccer to design a mural that celebrates soccer in Chicago in connection with the MLS All-Star Game. Mural was completed in Chicago's Pilsen Neighborhood on the corner of 18th and Ashland.

DON JULIO: PILSEN PRIMAVERA, 2016

A celebration of the Mexican culture and community in Chicago, Sam was commissioned by Don Julio to complete a painting that celebrated the origin of the tequila and the Pilsen community. The artwork was unveiled at a private dinner for the top distributors in Chicago. All distributors received a signed limited edition print of the artwork.

To celebrate Latinos in the Arts, 10 Artists were invited to customize a model of the Don Julio Truck in their own style. The trucks were exhibited at an invite only event. Sam Kirk curated the event and selected all participating artists.

CHICAGO MADE SXSW 2015/2016

Official Artist for SXSW 2015/2016, Sam Kirk designed the artwork for the Choose Chicago  trade show booth in collaboration with Simple Truth.  Her work was used to wrap a 20 x 20ft booth, on all promotional merchandise, and staff t-shirts which were worn during the event.

GUINNESS: LIVE IT UP TOUR: BROOKLYN, DC, HOUStON, ATLANTA, MIAMI 2013 - 2015

Artist, Sam Kirk collaborated with the team at GTM Central to design the GUINNESS LIVE IT UP Experience. A celebration of the West Indian and West African cultures through art and music. As lead art director and designer, she was responsible for the overall design, cultural and creative elements, artist curation and production. The project is a huge undertaking, but is ideal for Kirk's practice, allowing her to implement all of her skills into one program: fine art, fabrication, interior space design. 

"It's a sweet gig. I work with the team to design the experience then literally head back to the studio to create what is needed to make it come to life."  The festival began in Brooklyn in 2013 and has continued thru 2015 touring other cities in the US. 

VERLUXE BLANK CANVAS DOLLHOUSE: CHICAGO

The TCG Collective partnered with Leo Burnett to create a platform called “Blank Canvas” for the recruitment of diversity candidates for their agency internship program. Blank Canvas is an event series that focuses on recruiting young adult artists from different disciplines including visual art, poetry, dance, photography and videography to showcase their work. Each of those artists that were vetted by the agencies were then encouraged to apply to intern at Leo Burnett. Sam collaborated with the girls of Verluxe to bring their dollhouse concept to life.

THE ART OF CHICKEN RESTAURANT: CHICAGO

TASK: Develop a brand and concept for a local restaurant that tells a story around the name "The Art of Chicken”

ROLE: Concept Development, Design, Branding, Logo Development, Custom Artwork, and Project Management

PROJECT RECAP: Every inch of the design was custom made. The design merges the urban elements of the city with country charm to help tell the families story. A tale of a family of chickens can be read on the walls, that blend well with the mix of vintage décor, rich colors and exposed brick murals that capture consumers attention.
